Rather predictable result when second ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (16-3) rolled over at home 5th ranked Tofas (10-9) 90-71 on Sunday. Pinar Karsiyaka had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Senegalese-French Amath MBaye (205-89, college: Oklahoma) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Tony Taylor (184-90, college: GWU) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. British-American guard Tarik Phillip (191-93, college: WVU) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Jeremy Simmons (204-89, college: Charleston) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tofas. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pinar Karsiyaka have an impressive ten-game winning streak.
