It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Maccabi Ashdod. Ironi Ashkelon players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The winners were led by American forward AlLonzo Coleman (207-89, college: Presbyterian) who scored that evening 25 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American guard Clarke Rosenberg (193-93, college: Chicago St.) supported him with 18 points and 6 assists. Four Ironi Ashkelon players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 9 rebounds by the former international Raviv Pitshon (198-89, agency: Ron Sport) did not help to save the game for Maccabi Ashdod. Jamaican-American swingman Durand Scott (195-90, college: Miami, FL) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Ashkelon have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Maccabi Ashdod at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with H.Galilee. Ironi Ashkelon will play against H.Afula (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Maccabi Ashdod will play against Hasharon in Hod Hasharon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
