Regular Season Round 15: Lleida - Castello 72-74

The most exciting game of round 15 in the LEB Gold took place in Lleida. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Basquet (7-7) to first ranked Castello (11-3) 74-72 on Sunday evening. It was a good game for naturalized Dominican power forward Juan Jose Garcia (201-89, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Croatian-American forward Duje Dukan (208-91, college: Wisconsin) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Point guard Adrian Chapela (192-94) answered with 12 points and 5 assists and Venezuelan forward Michael Carrera (196-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Duran International) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Basquet. Four Basquet players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Castello maintains first place in Gold with 11-3 record. Basquet at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Castello are looking forward to face Huesca (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basquet will play against Real Canoe in Madrid and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
