The game between second ranked Hamar (5-1) and 7th ranked Hrunamenn (2-5) in Hamar ended with biggest points difference. Hamar outscored guests from Fludir 132-92. The game without a history. Hamar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Hamar outrebounded Hrunamenn 48-35 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hrunamenn's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Dutch forward Ruud Lutterman (201-97, college: Caldwell) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Michael Phillips (201-90, college: Howard) who added 28 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Hamar players scored in double figures. Croatian Karlo Lebo (196-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and American point guard Corey Taite (180-96, college: GBC, agency: Green Sports Management) scored 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamar maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Breidablik. Hrunamenn lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Skallagrimur. Hamar will play against bottom-ranked Selfoss (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hrunamenn will play against Vestri and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
