Regular Season Round 40: Ezerunas - Vytis 60-85

Very expected game in Moletai where 10th ranked Ezerunas (10-16) was crushed by third ranked Vytis (19-6) 85-60. Vytis players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by the former international center Darjus Lavrinovic (212-79) who scored that evening 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-86) supported him with 15 points and 4 assists. Five Vytis players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by Modestas Zaunieriunas (189-94) did not help to save the game for Ezerunas. Center Ignas Juskevicius (201-91) added 13 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vytis maintains third position with 19-6 record having just two points less than leader Jonava. Ezerunas at the other side keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost. Vytis will play against league's leader Jonava at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ezerunas will play against Telsiai (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
