We should mention about the upset which took place in Monaco, where higher ranked Roanne (4-4) was outleveled in a road game by fourteenth ranked Monaco (4-5) 92-54. Monaco forced 27 Roanne turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Rudy Demahis-Ballou (190-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Boukhary Cissoko (198-0) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
