Rather predictable result when eighth ranked JA Vichy (6-4) defeated on the road 11th ranked Souffelweyersheim (4-5) 98-89 on Saturday. JA Vichy made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game. Souffelweyersheim was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard James Batemon (185-97, college: LMU) scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and David Denave (193-85) chipped in 21 points during the contest.
