Regular Season Round 19: Rieti - RO Eurobasket 82-86

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Rieti (6-10) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Eurobasket RO (10-6) 86-82. Eurobasket RO outrebounded Rieti 51-30 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American-Nigerian Jamal Olasewere (201-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Roberto Gallinat (191-96, college: Pacific, agency: Players Group) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Steve Taylor Jr (206-93, college: Toledo) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and center Quirino De Laurentiis (206-92) added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Rieti. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eurobasket RO moved-up to fourth place in A2. Rieti at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Eurobasket RO's next round opponent will be Pistoia (#7) on the road.
