Regular Season Round 19: Maccabi T-A - H.Holon 100-81

Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (11-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Hapoel Holon (8-6) in Tel-Aviv 100-81. Maccabi T-A dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Holon's 30. They outrebounded Hapoel Holon 34-16 including a 29-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Maccabi T-A especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Hapoel Holon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Chris Jones (188-93, college: Angelo St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). The former international forward Oz Blayzer (199-92) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Isaiah Miles (203-94, college: St.Joseph's) answered with 18 points and the other American import CJ Harris (191-91, college: Wake Forest) added 14 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Hapoel Holon. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi T-A have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-2 record. Hapoel Holon at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Maccabi T-A are looking forward to face Bnei Hasharon (#10) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Holon will play on the road against Hapoel Eilat (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
