Regular Season Round 19: Bergamo - Casale 104-68

An interesting game took place in Bergamo where higher ranked Casale (8-8) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Bergamo (4-11) 104-68. Bergamo outrebounded Casale 43-27 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Casale's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Stefano Masciadri (200-89) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Matteo Parravicini (187-1) contributed with 22 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!) for the winners. Naturalized Senegalese center Gora Camara (214-1) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Simone Tomasini (198-93) added 16 points (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Casale. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bergamo maintains fourteenth place in A2 with 4-11 record. Casale at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Bergamo's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Torino on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
