Worth to mention about the upset in a game between H.Haifa (9-5) and Bnei Hasharon (5-9), which took place in Hod Hasharon. 4th placed H.Haifa lost to tenth ranked Bnei Hasharon in a road game 79-91 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of H.Haifa. Bnei Hasharon dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to H.Haifa's 34. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward Elijah Thomas (206-96, college: Clemson) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Bnei Hasharon's coach Sharon Drucker used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Keenan Evans (191-96, college: Texas Tech) came up with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Amit Simhon (198-89, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 20 points respectively for H.Haifa in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Bnei Hasharon maintains tenth place with 5-9 record. H.Haifa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Bnei Hasharon will meet league's leader Maccabi T-A in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. H.Haifa will play against the league's second-placed Galil Gilboa (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
