National League top team - Ironi Ashkelon (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they beat ninth ranked H.Ramat Gan (5-7) in Givataim 92-75. They outrebounded H.Ramat Gan 37-25 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ironi Ashkelon looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by H.Ramat Gan's players. It was a good game for American forward AlLonzo Coleman (207-89, college: Presbyterian) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. The other American import point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Ironi Ashkelon players scored in double figures. American power forward Jeremy Combs (199-95, college: Texas Southern) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Guy Palatin (193-0) added 18 points, 5 assists and 6 steals in the effort for H.Ramat Gan. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ironi Ashkelon maintains first position with 11-1 record. H.Ramat Gan lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with seven games lost. Ironi Ashkelon will face Ironi Kiryat Ata (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. H.Ramat Gan will play against H.Acre (#14) and hope to win that game.
