The game with biggest result difference took place in Nicosia. Local Etha outscored AEL 90-56 on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Etha. AEL was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding AEL to just 7 points in third quarter. Etha looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jarrid Rhodes (198-95, college: Missouri St.) who scored 32 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import power forward Eden Ewing (204-97, college: Texas Southern) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Etha's coach Stavros Mykoniatis felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international swingman Iraklis Pittakas (192-84) produced 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Ilias Daniel (187-84) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Etha will face AEK Larnaca on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
