Very expected game when 12th ranked Ovarense (5-14) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Lusitania (12-6) 97-87. Lusitania dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ovarense's 30 and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Nigerian center Temidayo Yussuf (201, college: LBSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Antonio Woods (185, college: Pennsylvania) contributed with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Marcus LoVett Jr (183-96, college: St.John's) added 17 points and 6 assists in the effort for Ovarense. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ovarense's coach Pedro Nuno Monteiro rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lusitania maintains sixth place with 12-6 record. Ovarense at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Lusitania's next round opponent will be higher ranked Benfica (#3) in Lisbona and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
