Very important is a home loss of second ranked HLA Alicante (11-7) against eighth ranked Real Murcia (6-10) on Sunday night. Host HLA Alicante was crushed by Real Murcia in Alicante 105-81. Real Murcia shot 61.7 percent from the field and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Real Murcia players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Five Real Murcia and four HLA Alicante players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Real Murcia maintains eighth place with 6-10 record. HLA Alicante at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Real Murcia's next round opponent will be higher ranked Palma (#4) in S'Arenal and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. HLA Alicante will play on the road against Real Canoe in Madrid and hope to win that game.
