Very important is a road loss of third ranked Giessen 2 (13-6) against tenth ranked Speyer (6-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Giessen 2 was crushed by Speyer in Speyer 104-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Giessen 2. They outrebounded Giessen 2 31-15 including 19 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was center David Aichele (212-99) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field).
