Regular Season Round 20: Krka - FMP 76-97

An interesting game took place in Novo Mesto where 8th ranked Slovenian Krka (6-13) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Serbian FMP (5-11) 97-76. FMP outrebounded Krka 38-21 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Krka's players. Swingman Stefan Lazarevic (198-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Center Marko Pecarski (208-0, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Croatian point guard Rok Stipcevic (186-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) replied with 20 points and Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports) added 11 points in the effort for Krka. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FMP moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cibona. Krka lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. FMP's next round opponent will be Zadar (#12) on the road.
