Very expected game when 15th ranked Poitiers (3-7) was defeated at home by tenth ranked ALM Evreux (6-5) 90-85 on Friday. ALM Evreux made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Austin Tilghman (185, college: Monmouth) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. American-Cuban swingman Yunio Barrueta (193-93, college: Barry, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 28 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Four ALM Evreux players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Mathis Keita (192-92, college: IUP) with 20 points and naturalized British guard Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye (193-96, college: Bradley) scored 18 points. Poitiers' coach Jerome Navier tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. ALM Evreux moved-up to ninth place. Loser Poitiers keeps the fifteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Antibes. ALM Evreux will meet at home Souffelweyersheim (#11) in the next round. Poitiers will play against Lille Metropole (#12) and hope to secure a win.
