Regular Season Round 24: Bayer Giants - Karlsruhe PS 99-85

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Bayer Giants (12-9) defeated 9th ranked Lions (9-10) in Leverkusen 99-85. Bayer Giants players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Croatian center Marko Bacak (210-95) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and center Dennis Heinzmann (216-91) who added 8 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Maurice Pluskota (209-92) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American Daniel Norl (191-95, college: Omaha) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayer Giants moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Art.Dragons. Lions at the other side keep the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Trier. Bayer Giants will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#7) on the road in the next round. Lions will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg and hope to get back on the winning track.
