Regular Season Round 12: Fos-Provence - Paris 87-75

Rather predictable result in Fos-sur-Mer where sixth ranked Provence Basket (7-3) beat 10th ranked Paris (5-5) 87-75 on Saturday. They outrebounded Paris 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Provence Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American-German guard Kevin McClain (190-96, college: Belmont) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points. Naturalized Central African Allan Dokossi (203-99) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five Provence Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Juhann Begarin (196-2) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Ismael Kamagate (211-1) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Provence Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with St-Quentin and Blois. Loser Paris keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Provence Basket will meet Gries/Oberhoffen (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Paris will play against Saint Chamond (#14) and hope to secure a win.
