Regular Season Round 20: Amager - BAC 61-80

No shocking result in a game when third ranked BAC (6-13) crushed 5th ranked Amager (1-18) in Kastrup 80-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by BAC. Amager was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BAC forced 23 Amager turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Guard Mads Hansen (190-2) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Anton Harbo (188-0) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American forward Jordan Naughton (208-97, college: Wyoming) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds and guard Niki Tamjidi (183-91) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Amager. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BAC maintains third position with 6-13 record having seventeen points less than leader Vaerlose. Amager lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 18 games lost. BAC will face league's leader Vaerlose on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amager will play against Copenhagen (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
