Regular Season Round 24: Fenerbahce - Turk Telekom 99-77
Date: March 7, 2021
The game between Top Four teams took place in Istanbul. Third ranked host Fenerbahce (17-6) smashed one of their biggest challengers Turk Telekom (13-10) 99-77. Fenerbahce shot 67.9 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Fenerbahce players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Turk Telekom's players. The winners were led by American guard Lorenzo Brown (196-90, college: NC State) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 assists and the former international guard Kenan Sipahi (197-95, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Even 24 points by Canadian power forward Kyle Wiltjer (208-92, college: Gonzaga) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. American power forward Johnny O'Bryant III (204-93, college: LSU, agency: Wasserman) added 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce maintains third position with 17-6 record having five points less than leader Anadolu Efes. Turk Telekom at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Tofas and Besiktas. Fenerbahce's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Acibadem.
