LPB top team - Sporting (20-2) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Barreirense (1-19) in Lisbon 101-50. Sporting held Barreirense to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 48.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Barreirense 53-34 including a 39-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sporting looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Barreirense's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Bailey Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Travante Williams (197-93, college: Alaska, agency: Duran International) chipped in 5 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Tony Lewis (208, college: TAMUCC) produced 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Kurt James (196-95, college: Valdosta St.) added 15 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sporting have a solid three-game winning streak.
