Regular Season Round 13: Evreux - Souffel 107-96

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked ALM Evreux (7-5) beat at home 11th ranked Souffelweyersheim (4-7) 107-96 on Friday. Strangely Souffelweyersheim outrebounded ALM Evreux 42-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Souffelweyersheim was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Austin Tilghman (185, college: Monmouth) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Jhornan Zamora (196-89) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Dustin Thomas (203-95, college: Arkansas) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Jamaican forward Kentan Facey (206-93, college: UConn, agency: Inception Sports) added 21 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Souffelweyersheim. Five ALM Evreux and four Souffelweyersheim players scored in double figures. ALM Evreux have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Souffelweyersheim lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. ALM Evreux will face bottom-ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (#18) in Bischwiller in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Souffelweyersheim will play on the road against Nantes (#8) and hope to win that game.
