The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sibiu as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sibiu smashed 13th ranked Miercurea Ciuc at home 93-55. Sibiu dominated on the defensive end, holding Miercurea Ciuc to just 1 points in second quarter.
