Regular Season Round 30: Ternopil-TNEU - Khimik 89-74

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Ternopil-TNEU (19-11) defeated at home 6th ranked Khimik (15-14) 89-74 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Ternopil-TNEU. Khimik was better in third quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Ternopil-TNEU outrebounded Khimik 36-24 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Nigerian forward Avery Ugba (203-94, college: Austin Peay, agency: BIG) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Omar Calhoun (198-93, college: UConn, agency: Players Group) chipped in 27 points during the contest. Four Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Lewis Sullivan (201-95, college: UAB, agency: BIG) with 13 points and 7 rebounds and forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-95) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Ternopil-TNEU maintains fourth position with 19-11 record. Khimik at the other side keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost.
