Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked SPO Rouen (5-7) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked ADA Blois (8-4) 70-57 on Friday. The best player for the winners was point guard Thomas Cornely (190-91) who scored 19 points. Benjamin Monclar (191-88) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. ADA Blois' coach Mickael Hay used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Amin Stevens (203-90, college: FAMU) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-90) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. ADA Blois moved-up to fifth place. Loser SPO Rouen dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Lille. ADA Blois will meet higher ranked Quimper UJAP (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SPO Rouen will play against Paris (#7) and hope to secure a win.
