Liga Endesa top team - Real Madrid (24-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat seventeenth ranked Real Betis (6-19) 95-77. Real Madrid shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. It was a great evening for Argentinian guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 assists. American forward Trey Thompkins (208-90, college: Georgia, agency: Wasserman) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Real Madrid players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Ukrainian-American point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Real Madrid have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-1 record. Real Betis at the other side keeps the seventeenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Gipuzkoa. Real Madrid are looking forward to face Blusens Monbus (#15) in Santiago de Comp in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Real Betis will play on the road against Joventut in Badalona and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
