Regular Season Round 15: Gries/Oberhoffen - Fos-Provence 76-103
Date: March 24, 2021
Not a big story in a game in Bischwiller where 18th ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (3-8) was outplayed by fourth ranked Provence Basket (9-4) 103-76 on Wednesday. Provence Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 60.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Gries/Oberhoffen's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Central African Allan Dokossi (203-99) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 28 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Kevin Dinal (200-93) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Brandon Edwards (198-91, college: UT Arlington) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Provence Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 9-4 record. Loser Gries/Oberhoffen dropped to the sixteenth place with eight games lost. Provence Basket will face ALM Evreux (#5) at home in the next round. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against JA Vichy (#10) and hope to win that game.
