Regular Season Round 26: Kaysersberg - Besancon 59-91

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Kaysersberg's (3-14) home loss to eleventh ranked Besancon (6-12) 59-91. They made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Kaysersberg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Aaron Anderson (178-91, college: N.Dakota) notched 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and center Murat Kozan (206-93) supported him with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Besancon players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by Lithuanian point guard Dovydas Redikas (193-92) did not help to save the game for Kaysersberg. Guard Yanik Blanc (185-99) added 7 points and 6 assists for the hosts. Kaysersberg's coach Fabien Drago gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Besancon maintains eleventh position in Group B with 6-12 record. Kaysersberg at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Besancon's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Saint Vallier at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kaysersberg will play against GET Vosges (#10) in Golbey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
