Regular Season Round 18: Cholet - Orleans 79-54

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Cholet. Third ranked Cholet faced 4th ranked Orleans. Host Cholet (11-2) smashed guests from Orleans (10-6) 79-54. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Orleans. Cholet dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Orleans' 38. Cholet forced 20 Orleans turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was DR Congolese center Junior Tshunza (204-0) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Leopold Delaunay (193-1) chipped in 14 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Beninese center Jean-Fabrice Dossou (210-0) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Stanley Kimoto (192-0, college: Southeastern) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cholet have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Orleans at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Le Mans. Cholet are looking forward to face Le Mans (#5) on the road in the next round. Orleans will play against Gravelines and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
