Regular Season Round 16: Quimper - Blois 73-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked ADA Blois' (8-5) road loss to fourth ranked Quimper UJAP (9-3) 68-73 on Saturday. ADA Blois was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Charly Pontens (190-95) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. DR Congolese forward Junior Etou (201-94, college: Tulsa) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Thomas Cornely (190-91) who recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Benjamin Monclar (191-88) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Quimper UJAP have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser ADA Blois keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Quimper UJAP will face SPO Rouen (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ADA Blois will play against Aix-Maurienne (#18) in Aix-les-Bains and hope to win that game.
