The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sluc Nancy as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sluc Nancy smashed 9th ranked JA Vichy at home 107-83. Sluc Nancy forced 20 JA Vichy turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Sluc Nancy looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Meredis Houmounou (188-88) who scored 24 points and 4 assists. American-Jamaican Andell Cumberbatch (195-93, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Nigerian guard Daniel Utomi (198-97, college: USC, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 20 points and the former international forward Jordan Aboudou (201-91) added 14 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sluc Nancy (11-4) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. JA Vichy at the other side dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. JA Vichy will play next round against Gries/Oberhoffen trying to get back on the winning streak. Sluc Nancy will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
