Semi-Finals Game 1: Seagulls - Vilpas 93-98

Vilpas knocked down Seagulls to take the lead in the series. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 28-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Seagulls outrebounded Vilpas 34-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 58.1 percentage. Vilpas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Teemu Rannikko (189-80) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 assists. International Mikko Koivisto (194-87, college: UNCG, agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Vilpas' coach Sami Toiviainen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Wayne Martin (201-93, college: Tennessee St.) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Kendale McCullum (194-96, college: Lewis, agency: Octagon Europe) added 21 points in the effort for Seagulls. Five Vilpas and four Seagulls players scored in double figures.
