An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ashkelon. First ranked Ironi Ashkelon faced 4th ranked Hapoel H/M. Host Ironi Ashkelon (16-2) defeated guests from (12-6) 87-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel H/M. They outrebounded Hapoel H/M 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward AlLonzo Coleman (207-89, college: Presbyterian) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Clarke Rosenberg (193-93, college: Chicago St.) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Ironi Ashkelon players scored in double figures. American Storm Warren (211-88, college: LSU) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Ashkelon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record. Hapoel H/M at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Ironi Ashkelon are looking forward to face E.Netanya (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Hapoel H/M will play against Maccabi Raanana and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
