National League top team - Ironi Ashkelon (17-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked I.Ramat Gan (9-11) 87-68. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Clarke Rosenberg (193-93, college: Chicago St.) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Yuval Michaeli (185-99, agency: BIG) who recorded 14 points and the former international forward Jonhatan Nir (202-86, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Ashkelon have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. I.Ramat Gan lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Ironi Ashkelon's next round opponent will be H.Acre (#12) on the road which should be an easy win for them. I.Ramat Gan will play against Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
