No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Andrezieux (12-9) won against at home 11th ranked Besancon (6-14) 99-87 on Saturday. They outrebounded Besancon 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Andrezieux looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Besancon's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Steven Green (196-93, college: OKBU) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Guyanese forward Gide Noel (200-93) who added 26 points during the contest. Five Andrezieux players scored in double figures. Andrezieux's coach Sebastien Cherasse used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Tom Foucault (191-94) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and American point guard Aaron Anderson (178-91, college: N.Dakota) scored 23 points and 4 assists. Andrezieux maintains sixth position in Group B with 12-9 record. Loser Besancon keeps the eleventh place with 14 games lost. Andrezieux will face GET Vosges (#9) in Golbey in the next round. Besancon will play on the road against Mulhouse and hope to win that game.
