There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Joventut (16-11) defeated on the road 5th ranked Valencia Basket (17-11) 102-89 on Sunday. Joventut shot 69.1 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Joventut especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international guard Pau Ribas (194-87) nailed 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side and North Macedonian guard Nenad Dimitrijevic (186-98, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 13 points and 7 assists. Belgian point guard Sam Van-Rossom (188-86) came up with 13 points and 5 assists and Montenegrin center Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Valencia Basket in the defeat. Five Joventut and four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Joventut maintains seventh place with 16-11 record. Valencia Basket lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 11 games lost.
