Regular Season Round 24: Igokea - Cibona 88-80

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bosnian Igokea as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Igokea defeated 12th ranked Croatian Cibona in Aleksandrovac 88-80. They outrebounded Cibona 33-22 including 16 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Cibona helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American-Kazakhstan point guard Anthony Clemmons (187-94, college: Iowa, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 13 points and 6 assists. Serbian-Bosnian forward Marko Josilo (200-92) chipped in 15 points. Igokea's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Kresimir Radovcic (195-97, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who recorded 13 points and 7 assists and center Roko Prkacin (206-2) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Igokea (18-4) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Cibona lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. Cibona will play next round against Zadar trying to get back on the winning streak. Igokea will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade.
