Regular Season Round 32: Mykolaiv - Dnipro 80-105
Date: April 7, 2021
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Dnipro (22-9) crushed on the road bottom-ranked Mykolaiv (5-25) 105-80 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv's 30 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Dnipro had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Dnipro especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (203-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (205-89, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Dnipro players scored in double figures. American forward Nathan Adrian (206-95, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Maks Adam Konate (202-91, agency: BIG) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Mykolaiv. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Dnipro have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 22-9 record behind leader Kyiv Basket. Mykolaiv lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Dnipro will face Cherkasy (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Mykolaiv will play against Ternopil-TNEU and hope to win that game.
