Regular Season Round 25: Partizan NiS - FMP 97-74

One of the most interesting games of round 25 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where seventh ranked Partizan NiS outleveled visiting FMP (9-14) 97-74. Partizan NiS players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by FMP's players. Forward Uros Trifunovic (200-0) fired 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Rashawn Thomas (203-94, college: TAMUCC, agency: Wasserman) chipped in 15 points. Center Marko Pecarski (208-0, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Nemanja Nenadic (197-94) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Partizan NiS. They maintain seventh place with 10-13 record. FMP at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Partizan NiS's next round opponent will be Split (#9) at home. FMP will play against Krka and hope to win that game.
