The biggest surprise took place in Vitre where host Vitre (15-7) edged league's leader Toulouse (14-5) 77-76 on Friday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Vitre looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Robert Turner III (188-93, college: Texas Tech) who scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Matthieu Robin (184-92) chipped in 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) produced 21 points and naturalized Algerian point guard Faycal Sahraoui (188-79) added 10 points and 11 assists respectively for the guests. Four Toulouse players scored in double figures. Vitre have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Chartres. Toulouse at the other side dropped to the third place with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Vitre. Toulouse will play next round against Lorient trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Vitre will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked JSA Bordeaux on the road.
