Important game to mention about took place in Santiago de Comp. Fifteenth ranked Blusens Monbus (9-19) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked La ICL Manresa (13-16) 90-87 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Blusens Monbus dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to La ICL Manresa's 34 and made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game, while La ICL Manresa only scored five points from the stripe. Blusens Monbus brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Canadian guard Kassius Robertson (191-94, college: Missouri) notched 23 points to lead the effort and American-Israeli power forward Jake Cohen (208-90, college: Davidson) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even 26 points by American-Italian point guard Frankie Ferrari (185-95, college: USF, agency: Wasserman) did not help to save the game for La ICL Manresa. American-Georgian Matt Janning (195-88, college: Northeastern, agency: Network Sports International) added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Blusens Monbus and four La ICL Manresa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Blusens Monbus moved-up to fourteenth place. La ICL Manresa at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 16 games lost. Blusens Monbus will play against higher ranked Valencia Basket (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. La ICL Manresa will play against Zaragoza (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
