No shocking result in a game when second ranked Sibiu (15-4) smashed on the road 10th ranked Galati (6-12) 94-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sibiu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 Galati turnovers and outrebounded them 36-19 including 25 on the defensive glass. Sibiu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard KJ Jackson (188-98, college: UMBC, agency: Players Group) who scored 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Marquis Addison (193-91, college: MSSU) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian swingman Davor Konjevic (198-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) who recorded 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Montenegrin center Maksim Sturanovic (210-88, agency: 011 Sports) added 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Four Galati players scored in double figures. Galati's coach Florin Nini rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sibiu maintains second position with 15-4 record having six points less than leader Cluj Napoca. Galati at the other side keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. Sibiu are looking forward to face Targu Jiu (#12) in Mures in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Galati will play on the road against Pitesti and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
