A very close game took place in Girona between Caceres Basket and Girona. Twelfth ranked Caceres Basket (7-4) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked Girona (8-4). Caceres Basket managed to escape with a 1-point win 75-74 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Alf Pedersen who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Devin Schmidt (193-94, college: Delta St., agency: Duran International) who added 21 points during the contest. Four Caceres Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Ryan Logan (200-94, college: Stonehill) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Albert Sabat (181-85) scored 11 points and 8 assists. Girona's coach Carles Marco tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Caceres Basket maintains twelfth position with 7-4 record, which they share with Melilla. Newly promoted Girona keeps the eleventh place with four games lost. Caceres Basket will meet at home Basquet (#15) in the next round. Girona will play against Ourense (#14) and hope to secure a win.
