Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Zaragoza (10-18) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Valencia Basket (18-11) 85-76 on Sunday. Valencia Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Derrick Williams (203-91, college: Arizona) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) chipped in 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was German center Elias Harris (203-89, college: Gonzaga, agency: BeoBasket) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Argentinian forward Nicolas Brussino (202-93) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia Basket moved-up to fifth place. Zaragoza lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Valencia Basket will face Blusens Monbus (#14) in Santiago de Comp in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zaragoza will play on the road against La ICL Manresa and hope to win that game.
