Regular Season Round 20: St-Quentin - Vichy Clermont 101-86

ProB top team - Saint-Quentin (13-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked JA Vichy (9-8) 101-86. Saint-Quentin forced 25 JA Vichy turnovers. Strangely JA Vichy outrebounded Saint-Quentin 42-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by JA Vichy's players. JA Vichy was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Hugo Besson (191-1) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (180-95, college: Arizona) chipped in 18 points and 11 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) during the contest. At the losing side power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: BIG) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and David Denave (193-85) scored 16 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saint-Quentin maintains first position with 13-4 record. JA Vichy at the other side dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Lille. Saint-Quentin will play against Aix-Maurienne (#16) in Aix-les-Bains in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JA Vichy will play on the road against Poitiers (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
