NM1 top team - Caen (21-3) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Mulhouse (12-10) 87-77. Caen dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Mulhouse's 30. They outrebounded Mulhouse 39-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Caen looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Luidgy Laporal (206-95, college: SFU) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Seraphin Saumont (199-94) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Caen's coach Fabrice Courcier allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Quentin Diehl (186-91) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and point guard William Mensah (175-95) added 19 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Caen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record.
