Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Piombino (5-12) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Faenza (12-6) 85-68 on Sunday. Faenza made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Faenza outrebounded Piombino 39-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. Power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Filippo Testa (192-97, agency: SLN) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Giacomo Eliantonio (206-88) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and Camillo Bianchi (195-94) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Faenza have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Piombino keeps the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Faenza will face league's leader Livorno Libertas on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
