Very predictable result when sixth ranked Cassino (11-9) edged on the road 11th ranked Molfetta (8-12) 78-75 on Wednesday. Swingman Matteo Fioravanti (195-97, agency: SLN) fired 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Daniele Grilli (190-87) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Forward Giovanni Gambarota (190-89) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Croatian swingman Armin Mazic (199-93) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Cassino and four Molfetta players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Cassino. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Salerno. Molfetta lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Cassino will face Monopoli AN (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Molfetta will play against Pozzuoli (#14) and hope to win that game.
